[Insert Cliché Title Here]

I don't know what I was thinking when I put this together! [insert burst of cheesy, cheesy laughter here] I'll blame it on the weather. It was a chilly ! [The Miami excuse for whipping out winter gear at random times of the year]. And Lord knows as soon as one wind blows too cold, we all whip out the Snow Boots and Trench Coats [insert a brisk "ha!" because I think I'm on a roll].

Welcome to the Hamptons!

First! First....allow me to give a huge "Thank You" Shout- Out to my partner in crime, pal, amigo, Kiana. She did a really great job taking these shots!

Then on to the rest of my post.

"I see trees of green, red roses too... And I think to myself: What a wonderful World!"

I promise, that was the song that played in my head as I put this baby together.
He's classy, he's simple, yet detailed. He's dapper.

Enjoy!

Seize the Night! [becausewecan)

Friday night, I got all jazzed up to go to the Cotton 24 Hours Fashion Show with the hopes of meeting some Miami bloggers, seeing some great work, look amazing....none of that happened! The show was on South Beach, 8th and Ocean to be exact. We ended up getting rained on the pieces we saw weren't event worth while staying for, & we met no one sooooo...we left! This is what we did instead . Enjoy!

Smack Dab! In the middle of Spring ( We're right back at it)

To my two loyal followers, sorry that I've been kinda leaving you hanging. A lot of amazing things have been happening lately, keep away from the keyboard.

But I'll fill you in.

Last time I told you I was on my way to Atlanta for an audition but I didn't say exactly for what...
Well, it was for the Apollo! [Harlem, NY) and I made it!!!

My friend and I, Kiana of Young Wilde Free drove 10 hours from Miami to Atlanta... My first road trip in God knows how long. Anyways, the drive wasn't all that bad....

Blah, blah, blah.... I'm at the audition next morning, freezing! About 400+ people came out that day. Out of all of them, I was number 99. Took 3 more hours for the producers to finally see me.

They loved me! Told me they'd fly me up to New York and everything. Leaving in June for 2 months

Really exciting stuff.

I'll be posting more . So stay tuned

Trey

Wow, What-A-Week! [Though it's just began)

I'm really excited- really, really excited. [this is post where you get to know a little more about me)

I should be sleep. Should be, but instead I'm up, listening to Dawn and blogging for you. I've been meaning to write so much but there's just been a ton going on.

For starters, work has been crazy. [for all the people who think retail is easy, it really isn't) Customer service isn't easy. Dealing with people like customers, which most times just seems like a euphemism for "big needy children", isn't easy. And that's just the tip of responsibilities. But I can't complain, I love what I do.

I've found a new love for Deco Biking .

I've been twice this week. One time of which I went Skinny Dipping. That's right, butt naked, ass out, straight to the ocean. And you know what? It was one the most invigorating experiences I've ever had. For the first time in a long time, I felt like a kid.

Sometimes I forget how young I actually am with all the responsibility I take on. I can actually say that in that moment I felt, as cheesy as it might seem, "young, wild, and free"

Oh. And I'm heading to Atlanta in few hours! I have an audition. [I sing and act as well). A good friend and I decided to rent a car and drive up, I'm anxious to see what the "A" has to offer me!

I'm learning that life is always about changes and embracing the unexpected.
This, my friends, is the only way to leave an exceptional, excited, Dapper life. 😊

How to dress like Something Dapper

I live in Miami, where most men here think "dressing up" is a T Shirt, blue Jeans and a some nice shoes. Yeah....no.that's not okay.
I completely understand that most men aren't extremely fashion minded, but it isn't that hard. It's almost like math.
1 shirt + 1 pant + 1 Outerwear = 1 easy, complete outfit.
Let me give you an example.
A customer walks in today with her Boyfriend. [I work in retail) "He's  never been shopping before" she says. Wait.. NEVER BEEN SHOPPING BEFORE?? *record stops spinning* "that's cool. I'll help you guys out " and using my easy outfit math,  I gave him 2 easy outfits in about 7 minutes. They were simple, but he liked'm. The Girlfriend LOVED them. Check'm out . He does look nice
Gentleman take note: this is the way to look like something dapper

Jay's for Days

Truth be told,  I'm not a big sneaker Guy. At all, but, for 2013, Im challenging myself to expand my wardrobe by staying open to styles different than my own.

So I'm walking through Coco Walk, in Coral Gables.  Then I stumbled  across these babies. They had a version of these, Grey and University Blue, mark down to $99 [original price $160) . Did I smell a deal? Hell yeah! So I made no hesitation in asking for my size.

Manager says "we don't have your size in those but we might have them in those [points to the Grey Black and Maroon) .
"Sure....but hold up,  these are full price"
"Well....I can adjust the price"
"$99?"
"Yeah, when you get to the register, tell'm Jessie said adjust it"

Oh shit! I pulled my card out my wallet so fast,  I nearly cut myself. [Chuckles at my dry joke)

I've been wearing them for two days in a row. I'm in Love. Thanks Jesse,  best deal of the year so Far

Tools for a Thrifty Shopper

Let me say, first: there's nothing wrong with being a thrifty shopper. I am an advocate for Ross, Marshalls, TJ, and all those other discount retail stores. Just being honest, some of my Favorite pieces come from those places.  BUT!....  but there's a trick for Dressing For Less, you guys.
Not everything you buy must cost a million dollars but you also can't spend your life shopping on the clearance rack either. So,  my advice would be to create a list of things you want. Then from that list, split them into 2 categories : The Money List and Bargain List.
The Money List - the name says it all. You know, without a shadow of a doubt, that these things you're gonna spend major dough on. Full Price. No exception.
The Bargain List - things you wouldn't mind saving a Buck on. [I.e. you wanted a Micheal Kors Big Face watch, but you'll settle for a No Name Big Face instead).
................
I actually have one of these list. I keep it in my room. And on mine, I decided the only thing that goes on the Bargain List are basically basics : simple tanks, tees, classic converse, etc,  etc.
My money list holds all my signature pieces: patent leather doc martins, Levis waxed denim jackets, and the list goes on.
Essentially, what I'm saying is be cognizant of the items you buy, how much they cost, and the places you purchase them.

Houston, we've made a landing!

What scares me most about starting something new is the feeling of starting something new. Your first kiss, first night sleeping in your own apartment, first time meeting your friend's friends, first day of school or work- all start with a familiar feeling. I'd like to call that feeling the Oh Shit.

Oh Shit, I've never done this before, I've never been here before. Oh, shit this is new to me.

And this First Post is no exception. I've probably written and re-written and revamped this One Post 40 times already. Because its the first time I've done anything like this and it's new to me, Oh Shit.

I couldn't find the perfect words. it seemed as though nothing was clever enough, catchy enough, authentic enough, etcetera, etcetera. And I had to stop myself. Because this is a beginning just like all the others. Your first time is supposed to be a little rough, a little awkward, a little uncomfortable- but the reward is sweet because the Next Time you do it, you'll know the ropes a little better, you'd have walked this road before.

So forgive me if this post isn't up to par. It's my first time.
